I hope Vince is doing well, no matter what. I am a very proud alum of the University of Texas and it saddens me that this is being brought out into the open. I do hope that if he is having issues that he takes care of that and himself, first and foremost. I look forward to hearing your story when you find out.

Why’d you have to make me cry Jane? You reminded me of my Quarter Horse Obie.
I got him when he was 5 years old. He was such a special horse that I trailered him all the way from Pennsylvania to Texas when I moved here. He lived to his late twenties. The last month or so was so difficult. I’ll never forget him.

I do not understand your post. I would love it if more women had the individual confidence Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison has. She told you, “she would be glad when the day came that being a woman in politics wasn’t even an issue.” I think I share the same feelings as the Senator. Am I understanding her statement? Is she not saying, “Who cares if it is a man or a woman in office, just as long as they can lead?!?” Women have aquired leadership positions, they do it everyday. Why the need to highlight and make news of it? When you say, “Texas could soon have even more powerful women in it’s leadership,” you are doing exactly what the Senator was wishing against… Making an issue of women in politics. Jane, I love ya, but please stop rallying for women, and try rallying for true leaders, regardless of sex.

I met my fiancé on Match.com. I had almost given up on meeting Mr. Right, so my friends set me up with a profile on Match.com. I did not take it very seriously until Larry (my fiancé) approached me. I realized how compatible we were, and soon after, fell in love. I think it was the best way for me to meet him. I am VERY shy. We are getting married April 25, 2009!

I have to agree. Either way, I see young teens and pre-teens tempted by alcohol. At least with the drinking age at 21, it is illegal for the 17, 18 and 19 year olds to consume alcohol and they can face a punishment, hopefully without killing or injuring someone in an accident. It will certainly be an interesting debate.
